Simple Vegan Chinese Noodles (Lo Mein) Recipe (Quick to Prepare & Delicious) | Delia.v Life
On days that we're lazy or are simply short on time, this Chinese Tossed Noodles or Lo Mein is our go-to meal. It's flavourful, nutritious and comforting! This Chinese Noodles Lo Mein recipe only takes less than 20 minutes to prepare, which is perfect for a quick meal or if you only have basic ingredients in quarantine like us right now.
The ingredients for this recipe are all easily available and can be found in your pantry. Aside from the sauce, this recipe is totally customisable, from the type of noodles used to the ingredients you're putting in.

1 serving dried noodles
Vegetables as needed
Cilantro as needed
1 tbs sesame oil 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tbs oyster sauce 1 tbs light/dark soy sauce (1/2 tbs of each if you have both) 1 tsp brown sugar/coconut sugar
Instructions: 1. Heat a saucepan on medium heat and add in the sesame oil. 2. Once heated, add in the minced garlic and reduce the heat to low. 3. Fry the garlic until golden brown and remove from heat. 4. Add in the oyster sauce, soy sauce and sugar, and stir until well combined. 5. Boil a pot of water and cook the noodles according to the instructions on the noodle packet. 6. At the last minute of cooking, add in the vegetables. 7. Remove from heat and drain the noodles and vegetables, reserving the cooking liquid. 8. Mix in about half of the sauce you made and a couple of tablespoons of reserved cooking liquid if the noodles feels dry. 9. Garnish with cilantro and serve.
